I'm making progress on the How to draw book. The title of which is going to be "The Cartoonist's Grimoires- How to Draw Your Very Own Cartoon Characters"
It's going to cover everything from how to draw faces to creating a cast of characters. My favorite chapter so far is the chapter on drawing expressions, which covers not only drawing facial expressions, but how to have your characters convey body language, making sure your characters emotions fit their personality, and will even have notes on how to make sure you're giving each character their own unique expressions.
Basically with this book, I'm just putting in everything I wish the How to Draw Books I used to read would've taught me as a kid. As it is back when I was younger I had to learn with How to Draw Manga Books and try to convert the knowledge into drawing Western Style Cartoons.
Hopefully my book-- which will be self-published-- will give people of all ages at least a basic knowledge on how to draw their own cartoons. If this goes well my next book will be about drawing backgrounds or drawing animals, I haven't decided which is more important yet. Probably backgrounds.
If anyone has suggestions on what they'd like to see in The Cartoonist's Grimoires, shoot me a note to my inbox or a comment below! I'd love to hear some feedback!

Derp-Derp, How to improve?
Hey there guys! just a random journal from your random deviant artist Sierra-G! So I keep wondering on ways I can possibly improve my art style. I know some people will say "YOU DON'T NEED ANY IMPROVEMENT! IT'S PERFECT THE WAY IT IS!" and I agree my art is good, but there's always room to improve. If I don't improve then I'm nothing! I look at artists I've known for years and even though I shouldn't I often compare how much I've improved to them in a single year and I think- They're ten steps ahead of me now, what happened? While I'm still drawing and dealing with the same problems and etc sometimes.
Working on Suitors7 has helped improve my
